Places to visit in Swansea whilst staying at Devon View

The exciting and beautiful city of Swansea attracts many visitors throughout the year. Not only is it a vibrant centre for entertainment, culture and shopping, but it is also a great touring base for the whole of South Wales.
The 7 mile stretch of beaches and flat promenade along the whole coastline of Swansea Bay is a particularly popular base for those wishing to enjoy a break here. Its mix of tranquillity, outstanding views and accessibility to the city’s amenities and attractions makes this a lovely area for a holiday.

Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast in the breakfast room before embarking on a busy day of sightseeing and activity. In the evening, the comfortable lounge bar with large flat screen television with freeview provides the opportunity to relax whilst reading the local newspaper provided free for our guests, but who would want to stay in when surrounded with such a variety of excellent restaurants and bars.
'Devon View’s commitment to excellence in all areas extends to being a regular winner of the Swansea in Bloom competition and has been rated with a 5/5 'hygiene' award at the national hygiene scheme, the only one to have achieved this.
Only fifteen minute’s flat walk from the centre of Swansea, the hotel is the perfect base for those who wish to explore the city. There is a plethora of excellent restaurants, bars, theatres, museums and shops within strolling distance, ensuring that there is always something new to enjoy! 25 metres from the front door is Swansea’s magnificent stretch of sandy beach.
Swansea University is literally down the road and visitors can wander its various exhibitions, including the current exhibition of fascinating Egyptian artefacts. The city itself exudes history and the beauty of the Guild Hall décor, literally around the corner from the hotel, is typical of that found throughout Swansea.
However, it is also the beauty of the surrounding area that attracts guests to the city. The unspoiled countryside and coastline of the Gower is a short distance from the hotel, and beyond lays the magnificence of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
Keen walkers can stroll along country footpaths or experience hill climbing in the Black Mountains. Those wishing to enjoy an energetic holiday will find that there is a whole host of activities to enjoy, from horse riding, fishing and tennis to water sports and playing a round of golf at one of the 5 excellent courses that can be found nearby.
